The KIPP Developers Toolkit (KIPP) is a high-level library for rapid development of advanced document imaging applications, supports scanning, displaying, printing, and manipulating document images. Many file and compression formats, including TIFF and CCITT Group 3 and 4, are supported.
KIPP supports single and dual-sided scanners and printers from Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Ricoh, TDC, Bell+Howell, Panasonic, Kodak, and others. Scanners up to 100 images per second are supported with on-the-fly compression. X window system display support with greyscale image enhancement is provided.
Peabody Systems KIPP provides a consistent interface across multiple UNIX and Windows NT platforms and is compatible with Kofax Image Products KIPP for Windows.
KIPP for UNIX is available for SunSoft Solaris SPARC and x86, IBM RS/6000 AIX, HP 9000 series 700 HP-UX, Silicon Graphics IRIX, SCO UNIX/OpenServer and Digital UNIX. KIPP for Windows NT is available for Windows NT/PowerPC, Windows NT/Alpha and Windows NT/MIPS. KIPP for Windows NT/Intel is available from Kofax Image Products, Inc.
The KIPP Advanced Developers Toolkit (KADT) allows programmers to make full use of Kofax Image Products image processor cards. Full control of card functions is available, including the download of user firmware code. KADT allows the use of the KIPP Advanced Imaging Extensions to perform advanced image manipulation functions such as barcode recognition, image cleanup and deskew, and forms recognition.
KADT for UNIX is available for IBM RS/6000 AIX, HP 9000 series 700 HP-UX and SCO UNIX/OpenServer. KADT for Windows NT is available for Windows NT/PowerPC and Windows NT/MIPS. KADT for Windows NT/Intel is available from Kofax Image Products, Inc.
